Getting Started Video

The following 2-minute video reviews how to log in to the software for the first time. Step-by-step instructions are also listed below.

Invitation Email

You will receive an invitation via e-mail from research@vista-research-group.com to create an account on the Vista Research Group INSIGHT website ( https://client.vista-research-group.com). When you click the link provided in the e-mail, sign in using the e-mail address where you received the invitation and the temporary password provided in the e-mail.

Once you're logged in, you may be taken immediately to the settings page. If not, click on the "Settings" icon in the left side toolbar (looks like a gear).

SETTING NOTIFICATION METHOD

INSIGHT can send notifications when your patient's complete surveys. The notification settings are customizable in several ways:

  • Frequency (immediately, every three hours or once per day at a desired time
  • Medium (via text or email)

3.    Select which platform you would prefer to receive notifications (either e-mail or text).

4.    Select and set your notification preferences for the following:

  • Critical Alert (two flags) indicates a patient reported to have the intention to act on a suicide plan in their most recent survey.
  • Alert (one flag) indicates that the patient reported some suicidal ideation (with no intention to act), reports using drugs or alcohol, and/or self-harming behavior in their most recent survey.
  • Non-Alert (no flags)  indicates that the patient did not report suicidal thoughts, self-harming behavior, or use of drugs or alcohol is their most recent survey.

Note: The time entry is in a 24-hour format and on Eastern Time (e.g., If you want to get reports at 10 a.m. Mountain Time, you’ll need to schedule your reports for 12 p.m. Eastern Time).

We recommend that counselors set different alert periods for different types of alerts. For example, you may want to receive “critical alerts” immediately, while you may want to receive “non-alert” reports within 3 hours or at the end of the day or the beginning of the day. Reports tend to come in batches, so these intervals are designed to give some flexibility in setting alert times.

5.    You can set which programs you receive alerts for if desired.  To do so, click on the Receive Alerts drop-down for the program and select either “Assigned to you”, “No Alerts” or if a Manager “All Patients”.

6.    When all settings have been adjusted, click “Submit.”

Changing Your Password

1.    After updating your e-mail address and cell phone number (please note: you will need to receive an authentication text to change your password), changing your alert settings, and clicking “submit,” the settings page will reload. Click “change password” to change your password.

2.    After you click “change password,” you will be taken to a screen where you will enter a passcode. The passcode will be texted to your cell phone. Retrieve the passcode from your cell phone and enter it on the screen.

3.    Once you enter the passcode, you will be taken to a page where you will be able to change your password. You will need to enter your new password twice.

4.    Once you have entered your password, click “Submit” to save changes.
